Here are some of my favorite pass times..

I Love to read. I Love to read anything. Among “anything”, some of my favorite fields (apart from technology and business related) are – Astrophysics, Cosmology, Unified Field Theory, Ancient Civilizations, Literatures – poems, short stories, mystery thrillers, science-fictions, Paintings – abstract & cubism, and some more…

Currently, here is what I am reading ..

1. Humans are not from Earth: a scientific evaluation of the evidence by Ellis Silver PHD

2. When Did The Mahabharata War Happen? : The Mystery of Arundhati by  Nilesh Nilkanth Oak

3. The Road to Reality: A Complete Guide to the Laws of the Universe by Roger Penrose

Here is my little experiment with Android Studio. I had built a small app for android phone and it is now available in Playstore. It is called “ByteFlier”. You may go to Playstore and have it installed in your android phone by following the below link

Microbit (micro:bit) is an open source hardware ARM-based embedded system designed by the BBC for use in computer education. It can be programmed to do many things – game console, digital watch, and many many things. It can be interfaced with various types of sensors, like touch, sound, heat, proximation etc. It can be programmed using Python (MicroPython version). Its a great tool for learning, especially for the kids.

Here is one application that I built using Microbit and this is a working prototype for touchless bell ( which can be deployed in any place and anyone wishing to ring the bell can do that by simply taking their hand near to the bell).

For this prototype, I have used the following components –

  • Micro Bit
  • proximity Sensor
  • Servo Motor
  • LED
  • Crocodile Clips
  • Additional Power Supply (5v)
  • MicroPython for programming

This is great fun ! Go Ahead and experiment with MiroBit !

One thing that I really enjoyed was when I made my own smartphone. I built it on top of Raspberry Pi Model B+ with 512MB RAM. I assembled it with Raspberry Pi Display unit, GSM GPRS SIM800 Module and PKCEL 3.7 V battery. It is Wifi enabled. Coding for phone ( which I call it as MyPhone) was done using Python. MyPhone has facilities for incoming and outgoing calls, sending and receiving SMS etc. As this is using Raspberry Pi, we can also take advantage of a full-fledged computation module enabled with internet through Wifi. I am trying to improve it further.

Jeff Sheridan, Eduardo Galeono, Jeff McBride, Mike Chao, Shim Lim, Lee Ang Hsuan, Yo Hojin – you may be wondering who they are ! if you really wonder who they are, possibly you may not have seen their magic performances. Their innovation and skills are unparalleled. They have taken magic to a different level of Art.

Magic is my passion. I love magic. I love to show magic. If you are interested, you can search one of my recent performances in YouTube.
